Fatima Ngwenya (25), also known as Fatima Hatia, is an Afrobeats musician hoping to make a name for herself in the local music industry.
She said her distinctive brand of Afrobeats is infused with soulful rhythm and modern beats.

Ngwenya is also a dancer and an MC at local events held around her home in Matsulu and Mbombela.

Ngwenya’s love of music and performing became apparent from quite a young age. “I started singing and dancing in primary school, usually at school and at local events. I kept on pushing until I worked with a local band called Kasi Soul. We performed all over Nsikazi. The highlight of being a part of Kasi Soul was performing at the opening of a major lifestyle lounge in 2017,” she said.

In 2018, Ngwenya pursued her solo career. She started working on her music and collaborations with other artists and shared stages with South Africa’s renowned musicians, Sha Sha and Focalistic.

Her goal is to take over the big stages and collaborate some more with other musicians. “My music is available on streaming platforms like iTunes, Google Music and Spotify. As for MCing, I will continue bringing vibes to many crowds and making a living in the entertainment industry.”
