Karatekas impress during grading examination in Mbombela

Master Job Magagula is satisfied with the grading examinations' outcomes, as these advance taekwando as a sport.

During their grading test, Taekwondo International’s karatekas demonstrated their skills to be promoted to a higher grading.
The skilled karate practitioners met the requirements to serve as assistant instructors, and some even as instructors.

Following the most recent grading exam, some members received coloured belts and certificates.
Senior Master Warren Vice, who possesses a sixth-degree black belt in taekwondo and has won 22 Taekwondo World Championships, presided over the grading exams alongside Master Job Magagula.

The grading assessment was held in Mbombela this past week.
Competent instructors, including Lesang Dingalo, a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and Conwel Mkhonto, a first masters degree holder in Taekwondo, who completed their grading test on October 8, were present during the most recent grading to help the two masters.

Magagula said the grading examination went well.

“We are happy about the growth of taekwondo as a sport, self-defence form, an art of physical fitness and character building art within our community. The more black belts we have, the more teachers we have of the art. I am very excited that these karatekas displayed true character, sportsmanship, and that they worked hard to meet all the grading examination requirements.
“Now our main focus is to take a team to participate in the 2023 Taekwondo International World Championship in Coventry, England,” he said.
