KaBokweni upcoming musician joins in trending genre

Arthur Khoza makes amapiano music in his proud Siswati language.

Amapiano music has become South Africa’s unique genre and local artist from KaBokweni, Arthur Khoza, has joined in the unique and trending sound.
Stage name as Junior Arthur, the musician believes that the genre has opened opportunities for him in the music industry but adding his own Siswati touch to it.

The singer and songwriter recently released his debut single titled “Angfun Kungasho”, which bagged him a nomination for the Best Amapiano Artist in the Mzansi Art and Media Awards.

“I am honoured to be recognised just at the beginning of my music career. The nomination was and still is a motivation to keep on doing what I know best and I will be able to reach my dreams,” Khoza said.

This month already has seen him release another hip and groovy song with local artists, Tryphonick and Vinaldrillar, titled “Ngizomthatha.”
Always in the studio in effort to keep up with his peers in the local amapiano industry, Khoza is currently working on his first EP, which his listeners will definitely enjoy in the next year.

“I am excited about the EP and amapiano lovers can expect good quality sound. I am still engaging local artist to collaborate with but the project will have at least seven tracks including the two singles,” he said.

He added that his love of amapiano does not limit him, because he also does vocals for deep house and Afro-pop music.

Khoza said he aspires to work with Mpumalanga’s own Princess Nkuna widely known as Indlovukazi, and DJ and producer Sdala B.
