The end of a good story leads to a new one, says TS Galaxy’s new member

The attacking midfielder said he is looking forward to creating memories and winning trophies with The Rockets.

Sbusiso Vilakazi, known as Villa, joins TS Galaxy for the 2022/23 campaign. The attacking midfielder said he is looking forward to creating memories and winning trophies with The Rockets.

“As I joined this team, I was well aware that they are a team with high aspirations and a competitive attitude. I spent several years with Mamelodi Sundowns and have won numerous trophies with the Tshwane team.

Every good narrative has an ending, and although I made a lot of memories that are often told as stories, I believe that my time at Sundowns has come to a close, and that I have made my mark there as I move to the next chapter of my life with The Rockets,” said Vilakazi.

“My goals in this context are fairly straightforward: to score goals, win games, and satisfy our supporters. I pledge to the supporters that I will work arduously while serving the team with the utmost integrity.

I am looking forward to making more memories and telling more enjoyable tales at Mbombela. I also adore the stadium, because it is very open and vast, which will make it easy for me to carry out my responsibilities and score more goals. I’m excited that I will play with the youngsters and provide guidance when I can.”

Villa concluded by saying that his move to the Mpumalanga side was not as difficult as he had anticipated.
“Since the team is from Mpumalanga, I had assumed that I would have to relocate away from my family, but little did I know that The Rockets’ training camp is in Johannesburg, which means that I can stay close to my loved ones. This knowledge gave me more confidence.”

The club’s president, Tim Sukazi, expressed his satisfaction to have Villa as their new man.
“The club’s board of directors is overjoyed, and the guys are equally overjoyed that Villa has joined the team. He is a professional both on and off the pitch, and we adore him for his leadership abilities. We are convinced that he will have a significant impact on the club’s success and that he will use his expertise, zeal and leadership skills to benefit the club.”
