IN PHOTOS: Rob Ferreira Hospital frontliners receive gifts for Mandela Month

The 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day project celebrated the healthcare workers who were hard at work during the pandemic.

The spirit of Mandela Day saw the frontline workers of Rob Ferreira Hospital being uplifted. On Wednesday July 13, they received about 300 sets of colourfully knitted beanies and scarves from the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day project.

This was a token of appreciation aimed to celebrate Madiba’s life and legacy, by bringing people together and striving to make the world a better place for everyone.

The organisation was received and welcomed by the CEO of the hospital, Fridah Nyathi.
She was excited to see the frontline workers being recognised and appreciated the gesture shown to them.

“We are thankful to be the chosen hospital. The gifts to the staff are a token of appreciation to all workers who soldiered on during the Covid-19 pandemic. Motivating our staff should be a daily occurrence, and we take pride in appreciating our staff. This gesture definitely brought a smile to our employees.”
