One of Mpumalanga’s loved flagship shows, the annual Crowning Miss Mpumalanga, returns this year with a bang and with some extremely gorgeous models.

Billed for April 12, these edition of this annual event promises to be nothing but a show to remember, as it has been over the years. Organisers and founders of the event, Mzimari Productions, are pulling all the stops behind the scenes just to deliver yet another sizzling show. Over the past 11 years, this event has seen great strides, from running without any form of sponsorships to empowering young women with study bursaries, giving them a chance to build their own futures.

Besides this fact, this tried-and-tested event is famous for bringing nothing but non-stop and top-notch entertainment action on and off the ramp. “Plans and preparations are well ahead, and we are so convinced that our patrons and guests will not be disappointed with what we are cooking for them during the grand finale,” said Gugu Nyarenda, Mzimari Productions’ CEO.

Through this event, a number of notable beauty queens were born and went as far as to represent the province on national and international stages. A former Miss Mpumalanga, Ntando Kunene, is one of this pageant’s success stories. She was crowned Miss SA in 2016. “Our vision is not just to host the pageant and crown a queen, but to see that these girls are empowered in life so that they can go out there make a difference by empowering other girls, too.
