Billboards on gender-based violence erected in KaBokweni

A crime awareness campaign was also conducted at the complex, reminding residents where and how to report any form of criminal behavior.

Informative billboards printed with messages of gender-based violence-related matters were erected in KaBokweni in an attempt to sensitise the community on these matters.


The management of the KaBokweni Police Station and the Laduma Hardware Store installed these boards in and around KaBokweni this morning.

“The more people read these messages, the more they will realise the seriousness of this crime and spread the message. A crime awareness campaign was also conducted at the complex, reminding residents where and how to report any form of criminal behaviour,” said Shirley Nsimba, spokesperson for the KaBokweni SAPS.

The management of the station thanked Laduma Hardware for sponsoring the six boards that were installed in several areas falling under the local station’s policing jurisdiction.
