Residents’ help sought in mystery murder
The community alerted the police about a body lying on the ground between Mashakeng Stadium and Ext 8 in Mashishing.
The dead man was identified by his family as Mogolotswane Jan Mogoane of Handsome Vleisboom in Clencowie in Limpopo.
The report was received at around 01:15 on Friday October 30 and a police patrol was dispatched to the scene. The victim had been bleeding from his nose and mouth with no other visible injuries on his body.

The emergency services declared him dead on the scene and the Mpumalanga pathologist transported the corpse to the state mortuary at Lydenburg Hospital.
“A murder inquest was opened and a post-mortem was conducted on Wednesday November 4. It was confirmed that the victim was killed with ill intent. The investigation is pending and no arrests have been made,” said Capt Kaizer Moela, Lydenburg SAPS spokesperson.
