Morele nominated for two categories in the Ingoma Award

Chochocho-born gospel singer, Lindokuhle Morele (26) has been nominated for an Ingoma Award. The aspiring artist’s first single, “Bounce Back”, produced by Papa Ndu, has been nominated for two categories – the best newcomer and the best gospel single for this year’s Ingoma Awards to be held in Johannesburg on October 31.

“I believe the message in the song, which is about repenting and coming back to God; its uniqueness in terms of the writing structure; as well as my craft and conduct as a person, made me one of the nominees,” he said.Morele’s passion for music started at a very young age. He was inspired by his grandfather, Pr Patrick Ngwenya of Bethesda Christian Church. Like his grandpa, he is multitalented – a musician, songwriter, a young pastor, a youth leader, public speaker and an author. “I have been a preacher throughout my schools years and was at Univen FM in Limpopo as well as Voice of Hope,” he said. Morele took his music to the next level in 2018, when he began to share the stage with the who’s who in the industry. He has since performed with national and locally based gospel artists, including the likes of Donny Ngwenyama, Lufuno Dagada, SifisoS, Rofhiwa Manyaga, Anderson Matsane and Masibuyele ku Jehovah group, to mention just a few. He received invitations to perform at a number churches in the province, including Limpopo and Gauteng. Morele urged young artists to believe in God who called them, believe in themselves, persevere, be grounded, adhere to constructive criticism and stay focused to reach their desired goals in life.
