Communities of Jerusalem and MP Stream have adequate water supply

Six boreholes have been installed in Jerusalem that will bring relief to more than 200 households. In MP Stream the delegation handed over jojo tanks to the community.

The communities of Jerusalem and MP Stream finally have access to clean water.

A new borehole in Jerusalem that pumps the water to six Jojo tanks that were installed in strategic parts of the area by the Department of Water and Sanitation, was officially handed over to the community by the Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, David Mahlobo to Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane, who, in turn handed the project to City of Mbombela Mayor, Sibusiso Mathonsi and Ehlanzeni District Mayor, Jester Sidell.

Members of the community were pleased with the intervention and expressed that it has alleviated them from the trouble of having to travel long distances to get water and to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Block Committee member, Henry Manana said this will bring relief to the community.
Handing over the project, the leadership described the project to be an asset that will assist the community even long after the pandemic.
