Through the grapevine: Dress how you want to be addressed

MECs Sasekani Manzini and Gabisile Tshabalala turned heads once again this year. Ladies, we would like to know who your stylists are.

It was shades of glam and a curtain affair for some on the Sopa red carpet on Tuesday morning. At some point we thought we had mistakenly attended an evening event.

MECs Sasekani Manzini and Gabisile Tshabalala turned heads once again this year. Ladies, we would like to know who your stylists are. Many could use the referrals in future to avoid making it to the worst dressed list. It is okay to let allow some of your colleagues to tag along when consulting your designers or stylists. Sharing is caring, right?

We did not spot abo bhuti bendawo this time around, but the Thobela men made sure they looked smart in their suits and man bags. Deputy speaker, , also looked good and is ya, or were they matching with Sasekani? Well, it matters not!

A few tips for those who have no idea about the dos and don’ts on the red carpet:

1. Do not force photographers to take pictures of you. Surely they know the type of pictures they need. So, please relax!
2. Do not rush past like you are chasing a train at the station. Learn to walk with elegance and show confidence.
3. Rather opt for comfortable shoes. After all, one does not have to suffer for style.
4. Can some of you take it easy on the make-up, asseblief? While you are at it, get the right colour scheme suitable for your complexion, so as not to look like you were dipped in mud.

Have a great weekend, and remember to dress how you want to be addressed.

May the force be with you!
