PHOTOS: Storm damages over 40 houses in Makoko
The preliminary assessment indicates that more than 40 houses have either had roofs blown away or completely destroyed.
Over 40 were damaged by a storm this afternoon.
According to City of Mbombela spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, two schools in Makoko outside White River were also affected.
“We are appeal to all that still have shelter to assist the affected families. Immediate relief will be food, clothing and shelter for tonight as rainfall is expected tonight,” said Ngala.
