Man allegedly confesses to stabbing and burning teen’s body

He allegedly confessed to have stabbed the 17-year-old victim to death and then burnt her body with tyres for two consecutive days.

A 22-year-old man, Donald Dlamini appeared before the Boschfontein Periodical Court today, for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.

It is alleged that on Tuesday(November 12) Schoemansdal police received a complaint from Community Policing Forum members who found a man suspected of having information about a girl (believed to be his girlfriend), who was reported missing last Friday.

Police immediately rushed to the scene and on arrival, the suspect confessed to have stabbed the 17-year-old victim to death and then burnt her body with tyres for two consecutive days.

He further pointed out a place where he committed the evil deeds and her remains were found in the bush. He was then arrested.

Dlamini was remanded in custody with the matter postponed to November 21, 2019 for a formal bail application.
