“We will not be captured “- Justice Legodi
The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court was officially opened this morning.
MBOMBELA- Judge President of the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court, Justice Francis Legodi has assured President Cyril Ramaphosa that they will not allow themselves to be captured as they carry out their lawful duties of instituting justice at the newly opened Mpumalanga High Court.
“We will carry out the rule of law and we shall also invite legal practitioners from this province to come back home and practice here. We also request the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola to declare this court a National Key Point. Let us hope the president will keep on reminding him about the progress thereof, and that he does not avoid the matter,” he said.

Lamola added that constitution of legal practitioners should reflect the demographics of the country.
“It shouldn’t be dominated by white practitioners on commercial cases and only find blacks in criminal courts only,” said Lamola.
