The N4 claimed two lives this weekend

The N4 came to a complete standstill, when two fatal accidents occurred during the weekend

NELPRUIT – It was a rather busy weekend for authorities on the road this weekend, with accidents resulting in pile ups of up to ten kilometers.

A potato truck from Mozambique and three sedans were involved in a fatal accident on the N4 towards Malalane Saturday around 17:00. A driver of a Toyota Camry was killed upon impact.

One died in an accident involving a minibus and a truck at the Sudwala Caves turn off on the N4 Saturday. According to tow-truck operator Shaun Naude who was on the scene, the driver of the truck said that the minibus had no headlights, which caused the accident.

Lowvelder has received numerous complaints on  Facebook regarding the lack of traffic control. By this time, no information is confirmed by authorities. More information will follow in Tuesday’s edition of Lowvelder.
