Hawks looking for Kriel CIT robbers

The suspects fled the scene in a Silver Toyota and an Etios taking along the SBV truck’s keys and an undisclosed amount of money.

The Hawks in Mpumalanga are looking for a group of armed men who robbed an SBV cash delivery truck.

The incident took place on August 29 in Kriel when the armed men robbed the SBV truck of an undisclosed amount of CASH.

Capt Dineo Sekgotodi, Hawks spokesperson said: “The SBV security guards were loading cash to an auto teller machine when they were suddenly confronted by a number of heavily armed suspects wearing uniform similar to their own.

   The suspects forced the guards to open their armoured vehicle vault while threatening them with explosives,”she said.   

“One crew member was shot in the process, another man was also shot twice and he survived the attack,” she said.

The suspects fled the scene in a Silver Toyota and an Etios taking along the SBV truck’s keys.
