Former Miss SA Teen to host Modelling Expo

The Phuti Khomo Modelling Expo is aimed at helping models reach the required standards for skills in posing, skin care, make-up, nutrition.

Phuti Khomo will descend on these shores this weekend with her Phuti Khomo Modelling Expo (PKME) which is on a drive to hone modelling skills for upcoming models in the province.

KPME will host one of its Modelling Expos at St Marks International School in Mbombela from 10:00 until 16:00 this Saturday (August 10).

Tickets will be sold at the door for R150.

 

“This is an educational and career-building event, designed to allow aspiring models to showcase their abilities in front of some of the world’s most prominent modelling agencies. The expo is a one-day showcase for all things about beauty from fashion shows to health talks and make-up advice,” explained KPME management.

Male and female models aged between eight and 28 years are urged not to miss this one in a lifetime event.

 

The expo will be bringing top, credible local modelling agencies and agencies from London, New York and Paris to scout for raw talent in a safe environment. The expo also aims to minimize incidents of human trafficking and to raise awareness on the dangers of child pornography in the modelling industry.

It will also teach patrons on the dangers of social media which have become a huge platform for criminal elements to lure aspiring models and trap them by posing as modelling agencies.

 

The expo is also created to motivate the involvement of parents in their children’s modelling careers and help eliminate risks in the industry.

They are currently working with the following local agencies: Rage, Steel Models, Twenty Twenty, Ace Management, Boss Models, as well as international agencies including Clavon Models from New York, BMA Models from London and UP Models from Paris.

Other expos are scheduled to take place in Gauteng on August 17, Limpopo on August 31,Durban on September 7,

Cape Town on September 14, Eastern Cape on October 5, Free State on October 19 and the North West on October 26.
