Father to appear in court for daughter’s murder
He handed himself over to the police last Wednesday.
A man will appear in the Mkhuhlu Magistrate’s Court today for a formal bail application following the death of his 12-year-old daughter.
It is alleged that on July 22 July, the suspect brutally assaulted his daughter after she slept out for three days. On the day after the assault her parents noticed she was unresponsive when trying to wake her up to get ready for school.

She was rushed to hospital, where she was declared dead upon arrival. The suspect is reported to have admitted that he brutally assaulted her. He then handed himself over to the police and appeared in court last Friday where he was remanded in custody.
