Taxi strike at Mganduzweni
Taxi owners and drivers want to know how the Intergrated Public Transport Network will benefit them.
Commuters using taxis to and from White Hazyview will have to find alternative transporting due to a continuing taxi strike in the area.
The drivers downed their tools and parked their taxis along the R538 road due to their dissatisfaction with the proposed Intergrated Public Transport Network.

“We want to know what the industry will benefit from this transport network. We need to know how owners will be compensated when this comes into operation,” explained Peter Mndawe, a taxi owner.
Taxi owners are expected to meet with their executives and representatives from the City of Mombela Local Municipality this afternoon.
