The suspects were arrested on Tuesday in Standerton for an alleged business burglary.

NELSPRUIT – The two men aged 38 and 56 are believed to be foreign nationals.

“The incident took place over the weekend at a computer school in the area, wherein the employees of the school are reported to have discovered that there has been a burglary when they were reporting for work on Monday. Black plastic chairs, desks, computers and other office equipment with an estimated value of R70 000 were stolen, ” said police spokesperson Col Mtsholi Bhembe.

Some of the stolen goods that were discovered by the police.

Bhembe said police launched an investigation as soon as a case was registered with them and immediately got leads that led them straight to the stolen goods as well as the two suspects.

“A preliminary probe suggested that the suspects may have been lecturers at the school, but police investigations are continuing. The duo is expected to appear on Wednesday at the Standerton Magistrate’s Court facing a charge of burglary,” said Bhembe.

Police Management in the province urged businesses to take extra precautionary security measures, like installation of security equipment like surveillance cameras in their premises minimising the chances of being broken into.
