ELUKWATINI- Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of another man over an ex’s lover appeared in the Eesterhoek Magistrate Court court on Thursday ( January 9).
A police report states that’s Mr Sibusiso Agreement Mazibuko (27) and Bongani Trevor Mashinini (22) allegedly kidnapped and stabbed the 22-year-old deceased Mangaliso Brian Shongwe and left him to die on the mountains around December last year.
Police spokesman Const Solly Mbokane said the two suspects were arrested on New Year’s day and had confessed to the murder.
He explained that they even led police to the crime scene where the body of the badly decomposed body of the deceased was found.
“A knife supposedly used during the murder of the deceased was also found at the scene,” said Mbokane .
“The two cruel suspects elaborated to the police as to how they whipped the deceased and stabbed him to death before leaving him alone,” he added.
The suspect’s first court appearance was on January 3 in the Eerstehoek Magistrate court, where they were remanded in custody. Their latest court outcome was not known at the time of going to print.
