Kanyamazane woman hijacked at gunpoint
An unknown man appeared and held the victim at gunpoint demanding the vehicle keys and drove off with his three accomplices.
MBOMBELA – A woman was hijacked in KaNyamazane last Saturday while visiting a friend.
According to the police, the victim arrived at the friend’s house, the gate was opened for her and drove to park the vehicle in the yard. While the gate was closing, an unknown man appeared, held the victim at gunpoint demanding the vehicle keys and was joined by two other accomplices. The trio, whose faces were covered with balaclavas, then drove off with the black Mercedes Benz.
The following day, early in the morning police received information from community members that there was a vehicle that was hidden between two water reservoirs in KaNyamazane. Upon arrival at the scene, a preliminary probe confirmed that the vehicle was the one that was hijacked.
