Today, ChafZar Lifestyle will launch its Last Fridays Pool Parties with what promises to be one of the ultimate ChafZar experiences.
Head of promotions at ChafZar, Mandla “Spikiri” Ngcongwane said the joint has been looking for a unique concept that can enliven the township on Fridays. A prominent DJ will be booked every last Friday evening, supported by local DJs, for a night of boozy cocktails, champagne showers, beer and the rumbling thump-thump of party music.
“With these pool parties, which will take place every last Friday of the month, we want to elevate something that’s already amazing in ChafZar to the next level. And depending on the popularity, who knows, we may increase the frequency to fortnightly or weekly.”
The big pool, opened this December, is for adults only and has proven to be a hit, he said. “Our township has not had a facility like this and our patrons love it. They are voting with their feet. This past festive season we have had people visiting us from as far as Sabie, Bushbuckridge and Witbank,” he said.
ChafZar’s director, Ndumiso Mona added that they have secured DJ Lamiez and DJ Christos for the launch. “We promise a great lineup of DJs this year.” Mona also said that the pool parties are the summer edition of the ChafZar Last Fridays, which will run from September to March. The winter edition will be announced in due course.
“We are talking to a couple of sponsors regarding the ChafZar Last Fridays and will make an announcement soon. But what we can promise our patrons is a good time. Kusazoba lit, kusazoba mnandi.”
