OPINION: Baroka needs to put their energy in climbing up the log

The narrow win against the Limpopo-side was a victory even if there were not crowned the Telkom champions.

Right down the line

Kaizer Chiefs supporters were ecstatic after Orlando Pirates lost to Baroka FC last Saturday. Funny memes were circulating on social media and had a filled day. But from where I am standing these two teams are on a league of their own, specifically Amabuccaneer.
The narrow win against the Limpopo-side was a victory even if there were not crowned the Telkom Knockout champions. The truth of the matter is that the team cannot win everything. One has to lose some and win some. In this instant, Baroka snatched the title but the field of play was nothing compared to pirates, technically they were better. Baroka needed the boost but the very same stamina needs to be visible in the league. They are currently in position 14 and if they are not careful, they might find themselves on the verge of relegation at the same time they are Telkom title holders.

There is no balance in the whole thing, there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done. Meanwhile, Khosi is firing and hiring. What good does it do when you replace a coach when the team is not performing? is it me or is it entirely the coaches doing that the team is currently sinking? I don’t think so, Ernst Middendorp is being recycled because he has coached the team before but did not really do justice. Their campaign is really dismal and needs a fresh start in the next season because at this point in time nothing is going to materials until the team’s structures are in sync, including the players. Itumeleng Khune mentioned in an interview that there were some rotten tomatoes that are hindering the team to move up the log. but let us wait and see what happens and not count the eggs before they hatch.
