UPDATE: Community demands torch Magogeni Primary School
Learners cannot enter the school premises as the entrance of the school is blocked by burning tyres.

Teaching and learning have come to a halt at Magogeni Primary School this morning. Community members have blocked the entrance of the school demanding a new permanent structure from the department of education.
One of the parents, Sicelo Mpofu said the learner has been using the dilapidated temporary structures close five years when the school was burnt. “We have stopped the classes because the safety of our children is compromised. The principal said there is nothing he can do to help. After a meeting last Friday, we decided to embark on this strike since no one is doing anything about it,” said Mpofu.
The department’s Gerald Sambo said a media enquiry be sent to the department and would contact relevant so that the department can respond accordingly.
