Taxi driver assaults a traffic cop
The inspector tried to stop the taxi driver who then attacked him.
A 26-year-old taxi driver has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a traffic cop in Kanyamazane.
Mr Muziwakhe Thwala appeared before the Kanyamazane Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of assault with intent of causing grievous bodily harm.

This comes after he and his colleague assaulted the traffic officer who was on duty on July 24 at Kanyamazane.
It is alleged that the inspector tried to stop the taxi driver who instead of complying, started to swear at him. He was then attacked and sustained minor injuries.
“The cop had visible bruises on his face following the incident. We arrested one and the other suspect is still at large,” explained Const Ncobile Mnisi, spokesperson of the
Kanyamazane police.
