#Eskomloadshedding gets cold shoulder on twitter

Eskom says the risk of loadshedding remains high for Tuesday morning as a result of the industrial action.

ย Despite not implementing rotational loadshedding yesterday, the risk of loadshedding remains high duringย  Tuesday’s morning peak demand period from 05h00.
This is as a result of the current industrial action at Eskom power stations which has impacted operations.

Eskom will advise if loadshedding will be conducted in either stage 1, stage 2, stage 3 or stage 4, dependent on the capacity shortage.

Despite the announcement from the power utility,ย  Tweeps were not impressed:

“We encourage residents and businesses to please use electricity sparingly to ease the demand of electricity. Please switch off geysers during the day especially during peak periods (05:00 to 10:00 and 17:00 to 22:00) as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand,” said Eskom in a statement.
