A kick start to find jobs

“The need to provide a kick start for the youth to finds jobs has become a high priority in our country,” according to Collen Vilakazi, facilitator siyafundisa i Africa. As an accredit development agency, siyafundisa i Africa also helps young people to obtain funding from Government to start their own businesses and projects.

“We have had an incredible response from the youth,” continues Vilakzi. “They view our programmes as a way to improve their chances of finding employment or to establish successful businesses. We also provide education, training, skills development, entrepreneur development and assistance, project development and assistance, job preparedness and placement assistance”

Domestic workers will have the have an opportunity to improve their skills as well when the company launches a new course in 2014 for this sector. Employers can send their domestic staff for training in housekeeping, cooking, first aid, child care to mention but a few. After the completion of each course the domestic work will receive a certificate.

“We only take in a limited number of leaners and for next year there is only 200 opening available. These is to ensure that the learners receive individual attention and achieve optimum results,” concludes Vilakazi.
