5 Mpumalanga faces on TV soapies

Many would agree that Mpumalanga is a gold mine of exceptional talent with locals taking the television industry by storm.

Here are five television personalities from the province who grace our screens every weekday.

1.Thabo Mkhabela – Skeem Saam

 

The Arts Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology from Bushbuckridge landed his role in SABC 1’s Skeem Saam in its fourth season as Leshole Mabitsela.

2. Dimpho More- 7de Laan

Dimpho More (24) is an actress and director from Mbombela residing in Johannesburg.  She starres in the nationally renowned TV Soapie, 7de Laan where she plays a friendly, nosy yet hard working waitress called Nozi.

3. Nicholas Nkuna-Skeem Saam and 7de Laan

The actor and singer is known for his role as a university lecturer Sakhile on the SABC1 soapie Skeem Saam. He is also featured in films including Meet the Radebes and Love by Chance as well as SABC’s telenovela Keeping Score. He joined 7de Laan in August last year portraying  the role of Fikani Chauke.

4. Hungani Ndlovu- Scandal

 

Hungani grew up in Hazyview and Green Valley before moving to Limpopo. He currently plays the role of Romeo on e.tv’s Scandal.

5. Themba Ndaba- The Queen 

His parental home is in Elukwatini near Badplaas but he was born in Soweto. His family moved to Swaziland in 1969 and returned to South Africa years later. The award-winning actor plays the role of Brutus Khoza in Mzansi Magic’s drama, The Queen.
