Mr Makhosi Zulu, the station manager, confirmed the sad news.

“He left at a time when he had promised us and the listeners through an audio clip that he will come back to the station. His wish was to start a foundation to help those who suffer from cancer, as he had seen the difficulties one experiences when suffering with such an illness. His death came too soon. We will miss him a lot,” he said.

Zulu said details of his memorial and burial services will be communicated once the family agreed on the date.
