Rio Mabunda joins RISE fm
Mabunda is taking over following Tony Murrell's departure at the end of March.
It has been confirmed that Rio Mabunda has joined the Rise FM team as a station manager.
Tiso Blackstar’s Head of Radio, Vernon Matzopoulos, said they were inundated with interest from highly experienced parties throughout the country . “It was Rio’s immense local knowledge and understanding of radio in the province, coupled with his vision for the ever-growing station, which made him the number one choice,” Matzopoulos.
The former Ligwalagwala FM’s station manager was suspended for 10 months with full pay without being formally charged until July last year when he was charged pertaining to discrepancy emanating from the station’s birthday bash that was held at Nkomazi in 2016.
