Driver seriously injured on the R40
It is alleged that the driver of a bakkie coming from White River failed to stop at the traffic light and sideswiped the vehicle which was coming from Lydenburg.
A motorist was seriously injured this morning in a collision with another vehicle at the R40/R37 intersection in Mbombela.
“It is alleged that the driver of a bakkie coming from White River failed to stop at the traffic light and sideswiped the car which was coming from the R37, causing it to overturn. The woman was seriously injured and rushed to Mediclinic Nelspruit while the driver and passengers of the bakkie were slightly injured,” explained Joseph Mabuza, spokesperson for community safety, security and liaison.

The accident caused traffic delays this morning for motorists using the R40.
