Options to consider after receiving disappointing matric results

It may feel like it is the end of the world although it is not. So many successful people had to redo some things in life before they got it right.

Here are some of the options to consider: 

1. Register for supplementary exams -If you missed the requirements to get your Senior Certificate, you can retake the exams provided you meet the required criteria. Visit your school to find out your options.

2. Consider the Second chance matric programme -The objective of the Second chance matric programme is to offer learners who have failed to meet the requirements of the NSC a second chance to obtain a matric thereby improving quality of life

3. Go for a remarking or recheck -You will have to apply for a remark and register at school or district office and you will also have to pay a fee for a remark or for a recheck. This does not guarantee that your marks will be different.

4. Repeat some subjects -You can redo some of the subjects that you feel you didn’t do well in at various institutions.

5. Redo grade 12 – It may feel like it is not an option although it can give you a chance to correct your matric journey.
