Businessman accused of burning his employee with acid appears in court

This follows the incident of March 2, 2017, when he apparently burnt his 27-year-old employee with acid while other men assaulted the worker.

A businessman accused of burning his employee’s face with acid after accusing him of theft from his bottle store at Phola Trust, appeared in the Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The court case against Mr David Lekhuleni was postponed to January 30, 2018. He is facing charges of kidnapping and attempted murder.

This follows the incident of March 2, 2017 when he apparently burnt his 27-year-old employee with acid while other men assaulted the worker.

He (worker) was later dumped near a dumping site at Kanyamazane. The victim managed to crawl to nearby homes where an ambulance and police were called.
