MBOMBELA -The leadership of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Mpumalanga province has admitted that there is stagnant growth in the party membership in the province.

Last week during a press briefing with the media, the commander in Chief Julius Malema, lambasted the party’s Mpumalanga leadership for not showing improvement since the launched of the party in the province. Malema said they have given the provincial leadership an ultimatum to come up with ideas to grow the party failing which the national leadership will have to intervene.

The leader of the party in the province, Mr. Collin Sedibe, said they are aware of the concerns raised by the national leadership. “After receiving the letter from the national leadership, we have already convened as the provincial executive committee where we were tightening the loose screws and identifying the loopholes which are hindering growth in our party. We have also noticed that there are lazy branch leaders who are causing the setback, so we will work tirelessly to try and find amicable solutions to increase membership in our party,” he explained.
