PHOTOS: Thunderstorm aftermath in Mpumalanga

The South African Weather Services says the storm has weakened and is now over Mpumalanga, while there are still severe thunderstorms in parts of Limpopo.

MBOMBELA –  The recent thunderstorms have left some people in the province stranded as the severe storms uprooted trees, damaged infrastructure, roads and homes. Delmas and Bapsfontein were heavily affected when the storm battered the area. Some parts of Johannesburg were also left affected. Here’s the aftermath of the storm:

The road is flooded with water in Whiteriver.
Damaged road in Delmas.
Uprooted roof also in Delmas.
Uprooted trees block the road as the storm swept through.
The storm leaves a collapsed wall also in Delmas.
More trees are uprooted by the storm.
The storm also displaces a factory’s roof.
Some vehicles are left damaged following the storm.
