Municipality accidentally deposits R10.6 million into company account
When the municipality approached them they found out that they spent all the money.
The owners of Geomab construction recently appeared in Siyabuswa Mdutjana Regional court for accidentally receiving R10.6 million from Dr JS Moroka Municipality.
“Mr George Shadrack Mabaso and Ms Maria Isabel Mabusa were supposed to receive R1.6 million although they received R 10.6 million in their business account on November 2016.

This is after they rendered a service to the municipality.
When the municipality approached them they found out that they spent all the money.
They were arrested on September 5, 2017 by Hawks Serious Commercial Crime Investigation Mpumalanga,” said Hawks Spokesperson in Mpumalanga, Dineo Sekgotodi.

The couple was granted R 10 000.00 bail each.
“The case was postponed to November 09 for consultation with the new attorney,” she said.
