Go have fun with the first Lowveld Gijiga Run

The Gajiga Run is coming to the city. Crush Events will host the inaugural local race at Kwanyoni Lodge on September 23, just in time to help you celebrate Heritage Day.

MBOMBELA – The Gajiga Run is a “crazy” family fun run. The five-kilometre route includes seven massive inflatable obstacles for everybody to clamber up and over.

The nationwide event draws an average of 1 500 to 2 000 participants per event. Later this month Lowvelders will have their turn to enjoy this much-loved event.

The Gajiga Run is committed to making a difference in communities. Each year they help raise funds and awareness for non-profit and charitable organisations in every city they visit.

This year the Gajiga Run has partnered with CHOC to benefit the childhood cancer foundation.
Anyone is welcome, be they families, social runners or athletes, corporate teams and charities. There will be loads of entertainment for kids in the festive area. Local artists will be performing on the stage throughout the day. A braai buffet will be available to help you celebrate Heritage Day, or just explore one of the many stalls around the venue. A number of corporate vendors will have exhibition stalls too.

Crush Events CEO, Zane Janse van Rensburg, said she was looking forward to bringing the unique event to the Lowveld. “It is ideal for corporate team building,” she added. “It is going to be loads of fun.”
