Breaking News: Mkhatshwa of Cefups Academy dies
Owner of Cefups Academy, Simon Mkhatshwa is reported to have died after a long illness.
Mkhatshwa has made headlines in the past for his school applying corporal punishment to learners and in 2014, the the Provincial Education Department launched an investigation into the beatings of pupils following the death of Paballo Seanne (19), after she was allegedly assaulted for failing a test.
Spokesperson for the Department of Education, Jasper Zwane sent his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the department. “We heard the sad news and we have indeed lost a great soul. May his family find comfort through all this,” said Zwane.
