Community radio station receives R100 000 cash boost

Much is still needed to develop the station to reach its goals of reaching more places in the province.

The Nkomazi based community radio station, Nkomazi FM is one of the proudest community radio stations to have received a financial boost from a recently launched organization, the Practical and Radical Transformation South Africa (PRETSA) which aims to assist millions of unemployed South Africans.

Makhosi Zulu, the station’s manager says the radio station received a R100 000 to help with the day to day running of the station and also for research to help spread its wings to reach most parts of the province.

“We count ourselves lucky to receive such an amount. We are indeed grateful to PRET SA’s vision and generosity.We hope they will continue supporting us as much is still needed to develop the station to reach our dreams of reaching more places in the province ,” he said

.

PRETSA’s aim is to create a unified body that will focus on addressing matters of unemployment in the province
