Tell us why you deserve it, and you could win a full-year hospitality scholarship

Alive in Tourism will be giving away three one-year courses in hospitality. All you have to do to win this career boosting experience is tell them why you deserve it!

You could be one of three lucky winners to walk away with a scholarship prize which includes a combination of theoretical, practical and work place experience.

All about the prize

Subjects that are covered in the course include table attendant, bar attendant, room attendant, laundry assistant, assistant chef, assistant housekeeper, receptionist, nature-site guide, culture-site guide and effective business writing.

Normal cost for this course is R90 000 per year per intake and covers tuition, practical training, practical work, meal and accommodation. You will only be liable to purchase your own uniform and name badge, the rest is all covered!

After this exceptionally exciting year in your life, you can walk out multi-skilled and employable! Assistance for your job application will also be provided. The next intake will be on 15 January 2018.

How to enter

To enter simply write motivation of about 350 to 400 words on why you think you would be the ideal candidate to win this competition. You can email your motivation, together with the following to res@alivetraining.co.za:

• Name and surname
• Copy of your ID
• Personal contact details
• Proof of latest grade passed
• Head and shoulders photo taken within last 6 months

Terms and conditions:

• Applicant must have a valid grade 11 or equivalent qualification.
• Applicants must be 17 years and older.
• Applicants must be prepared to buy their own uniform. Costs are approximately R2 500.
• Applicant must have a good written and verbal command of the English language.
