Mourners describes Timothy “TZ” Khoza passionate about education

Timothy "TZ" Khoza was described by many including the MEC for education, Ms Reginah Mhaule, as one who prioritised education until his very last day.

BOSCHFONTEIN – Khoza’s memorial service was held on Thursday at Mbambiso Sports Field where his colleagues, the community and family gathered.

Mhaule put an emphasis on the circuit’s matric pass rate to be high as it has it been as a way of paying homage to him.”TZ cared a lot about this circuit and he would call me to ask what we can do to retain its number-one spot. We will remember him for always taking his time to attend the department’s meetings and events. He would not miss anything that had to do with the province. We’re still shocked about his death, but it is all God’s doing. I ask the family that they take their time to mourn, in the end, it shall pass,” said Mhaule.

Khoza, a former educator, served in the ANC Boschfontein Ward 23 and was a dedicated member of Sadtu. He was a member of parliament in the National Assembly serving in the portfolio committee on basic education at the time of his death.
