Three suspects arrested for business robberies

In all the incidents, the suspects are reported to have gone to business premises, pretended to be customers and in the process, held staff and owners at gunpoint then robbed them.

Three suspects between the ages of 25 to 30 were arrested last Wednesday and have been linked to eight of the cases under investigation.

During the arrest, the trio was found in possession of two firearms, one of which was robbed from a police officer at Elukwatini during April 2017.

On Friday, the suspects, Themba Khoza (25), Mthokozisi Dlamini (30) and Zethu Madlopha (26) appeared before the Barberton Magistrate’s Court facing eight counts of business robbery and were remanded in custody until July  27 2017, pending further investigation.
