What an interesting week it was! Mbombela is a small city where information travels fast with the help of social media.
A picture of those girls in a jacuzzi with a bottle of bubbly triggered a lot of people’s emotions and, as usual, we were there for the comments. Yho!
Judging from the comments abo girls seem to have a lot of fans and haters. But one person who did not take lousy remarks from people who defended the two chikitas is Nobantu Fatima.
She may have removed the picture but she is one who stands her ground and will not be bullied. Way to go wena girl! Love or hate her, she’s courageous and akanavalo.
We also woke to the sad news of Ray Phiri’s death last week. It’s sad and still unbelievable, but he left a great legacy. May his soul rest in peace! Let’s also try and not be too dramatic by claiming to have had a friendship with him. We know who his friends were and those who were with him during his last days.
From everything that takes place, we should all learn to appreciate one another while we’re still alive, because it is pointless to try and honour one when they depart from the earth.
Nonetheless, Ray may be gone, but he won’t be forgotten for his contribution in the music industry.
