Woman arrested for trying to steal a baby

TONGA – A 19-year- old woman was arrested after she was caught trying to escape with a new born baby in the early hours of Saturday morning. It has been reported that the woman who acted like she was pregnant and in labour, tried to steal a baby from Tonga Hospital.

The security guards and the nursing staff immediately caught her while trying to escape with the baby in her bag.

Police were called and she was arrested.
