Soccer supporters encouraged to study their tickets

The ticket has all the details, including entry points and sitting arrangements.

With the Telkom Cup Final coming to town, the Mbombela Stadium management has appealed to soccer supporters to carefully and thoroughly study their tickets to avoid delays and getting lost.

Speaking exclusively to Mpumalanga News just before the finals, Mthuthuzeli Qamba of the stadium said they had over the years witnessed how soccer fanatics couldn’t find their way around the stadium, especially with regard to their seating arrangements and therefore this had prompted them to act.

“It’s not like supporters are always late, no, they come early only to get lost and confused to which entry points to use and where to sit once they are inside the stadium.

“After a lengthy study, we realised that many of our visitors do not read their tickets, because what’s written there is actually their passport to enjoy all sporting actions in the stadium,” explained Qamba.

“The ticket has all the details, including entry points and sitting arrangements.

“It is very important for supporters to know the information on their tickets, especially when there are big soccer or rugby matches here to avoid delays and stampedes, he said.

“There is a huge difference between a suite or a box and your normal grandstand tickets. If a letter B appears on your ticket, it doesn’t mean that you are in a box or a suite, but simple means that you are in Block B in the grandstand, in a certain allocated row and seat.

“We are expecting a full house on Saturday and so it is important for our supporters to know what’s written on their tickets before coming to the stadium,” Qamba concluded.

He encouraged the fans to develop a culture of arriving early during soccer games.
