BARBERTON – Residents are living in fear of the Panga Gang that are alleged to be back in the community attacking people.This time around, it is alleged that they will also attack farm owners in this area and surroundings which include Honeybird/ Kaapmuiden and Low’s Creek.

As part of ensuring that the gang don’t do as they please,security has been beefed up in this township. Police visibility has increased and the SAPS helicopter hovers above the area since last week Thursday after it was discovered that murder is becoming problematic.

The security measures that have been put in place are welcomed by a number of community members as some of them took to social media and applauded the effort of the police.
