Ms Candice Streek, Penryn marketing and communication assistant said each child brought a soft toy or teddy bear which was handed over to the Penreach Early Childhood Development team. She said a total number of 99 teddy bears were donated to Penreach ECD target centres by the Penryn Prep scholars.  Streek said the collected teddy bears were donated to various pre-schools in areas like Msholozi, Hlau-Hlau, Daantjie and Barberton.
“The children who received the teddy bears were overjoyed to see and play with their new friends. Penreach is extremely grateful to the Penryn Preparatory School and the Penryn Parents Association for their generous donation, as these teddy bears will provide a source of love and comfort to the children,” said Streek.
