Ingoma owners are urged to comply with the acts

Ingoma owners are urged to not make money by putting other people’s lives in danger during initiation season

MBOMBELA – The provincial chairperson of the house of traditional leaders, Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena said community members to caution communities to exercise safety measures during the ingoma (initiation) practice.

He says this rite of passage by young initiates to adulthood is a significant cultural practice that needs to be accorded respect and dignity, and therefore safety measures should be considered to prevent unintended consequences.
