Cemetery used as rapists’ haven
Criminals target women and children and rape them at the Shishila Cemetery.
PIENAAR – Police are warning residents to walk in groups along the road near Shishila Cemetery to guard against rapists in the area.
This comes after the police discovered that incidents of rape are on the increase in that vicinity.
Speaking to Mpumalanga News, the spokesperson of the local police Capt Jabu Ndubane, said they suspect that there is a group of unknown men who are targeting women and children when it’s quite and drag them to the cemetery.

“The criminals are targeting pupils after school and bus commuters at night. We have received a number of cases of rape that took place at the cemetery and we are currently busy with clearing the bushes around the cemetery so that the criminals cannot have a hiding place,” said Ndubane.
